Due to popular demand, Meet The Entrepreneurs ( MTE ) has once again invited CEO & Co-Founder of JF Lennon, Jimmy Wong to grace the stage for their monthly MTE Talk 2012. Entitled ‘Jimmy Wong Reloaded’, a 60-strong crowd filled the entire venue to hear what the world renowned Forex Trader has to offer.
Held in Chen Fu Ji Restaurant, Jimmy started off his talk with experiences that he had growing up. He shared anecdote after anecdote on how mischievous he used to be as a kid and that he was frequently up to all kind of mischief which landed him a ‘VIP Pass’ to the principal’s office. This has brought the crowd to burst into laughter as they were entertained by the stories. But most importantly, all these stories had a lesson behind them and he explained how these experiences eventually shaped and geared him towards being a successful entrepreneur.
Jimmy then shared on how he became a top DJ, beating contestants from different countries and eventually started one of the most successful F & B outlets along in Singapore road. With this, he was named one of the youngest successful entrepreneurs in Singapore. He then imparted his philosophy and his core beliefs in running a business that brought him to success.
However, his path to success was not always smooth sailing. In the late 90’s, the world was faced with the SARS epidemic and has caused businesses around this region to be affected – Jimmy’s was not spared. He shared his challenges and how he overcame them and he attributed his success in pulling through that difficult time to his family that kept him moving forward.
With determination and perseverance, Jimmy then rebuilt his business and found a niche in the market that has brought him to success once again. In the midst of his business venture, Jimmy met his mentor and got to know about Forex trading, which has lead to greater wealth abundance in a short period of time. The audience was then introduced to the world’s largest and most liquid financial market as Jimmy gave them a brief description.
Jimmy then shared how he co-founded the award winning Forex Institute, JF Lennon, which he now leads as CEO.
What was supposed to be a 1-hour event, turned out to be 2 hours as the crowd can’t get enough of the charismatic and humorous Jimmy.
Towards the end of the talk, a Question and Answer session left the participants’ questions answered and Jimmy was then presented with a token of appreciation from Roger Koh, the founder of MTE.
JF Lennon would like to thank Roger Koh & team for organising such a successful event for the young entrepreneurs in Singapore.
